Installation of Redhat (Linux)

We are going to install redhat .
Requirements :- 1 gb RAM , 15 gb Hard disk space .....

Follow the steps :-

1. Insert your cd or dvd you will get screen like this .

2. Choose insall or upgrade an existing system

2.Now click on the skip ...... don't click okey

3. Now click Next

4. Click your Language and click next
5. Choose keyboard layout
6. Choose storage ... but leave it as by default
7.you can choose hostname ... or can leave as it is .
8.Choose the location india from map
9. Choose some strong password for root
10.Click on the create custom layout
11.Make Standard patition with  (/) size vary on you want to give.
12.Make another partition (/boot) size vary on you want to give.
13.Now also make swap partition . Give it size the double of your RAM . it acts as virtual ram.
14.We will install linux in (/)root directory.
15.If you are doing dual booting it will give you another operating system details too.
16.Here you can choose what type you want . But normally we choose desktop (GUI). After click next it will install the packages . it will take 15-20 minutes depend on the speed of your computer . Till then wait.
17.After installing all the packages . You get congratulations message . Reboot it .
18.After reboot you have to perform some operations .
19. Here you will need to create standard user.
20.After performing all the steps ... Your Linux is ready to use . Login with you account and enjoy.
