You all ever try to run windows exe file on the Linux . But windows not worked on the linux platform because linux has other extensions. But We will tell you how you can run windows application on Linux .

Wine :- It is the name of software which will help you run the windows application in Linux . Have fun with this application .

How to make backtrack bootable in pendrive

We can make backtrack bootable in pendrive. In pendrive this can be very handy ..

Follow these steps ..

1. Click on yumi multiboot. you will get windows like in image


2. Press I Agree . Now choose plug your pendrive in and choose the backtrack and browse iso image.
Press create . it will take 10-15 min. After this boot you computer or laptop from usb .Enjoy

configure YUM(yellow dog updater modifier) Server(REDHAT)

Here is the red-hat Linux yum client package installation which used mainly
 for configuring yum client in red-hat 6.0

if any body is a beginner in red-hat Linux this is the most important required tool which is used in red hat server administration specially for our members who wants to learn Linux follow the given steps.

We will configure yum server with Ftp( File transfer protocol). So before proceeding for yum we will first configure the basic ftp server for yum.

1. Change your path as in image for installing vsftpd package for configuring ftp server.


2. Install vsftpd package from packages like in image.
3. Start the service of vsftpd .

4. This make your service permanent.

5. Lets make new folder in the ftp for copying packges.

6. Now copy the packages in folder we made.

7. Now we will install createrepo package for making repo of the packages. Do the same steps in image.

8. Now got to the folder where we copied our packages.

9. After change the directory . wrtie this command to make reposatory of packages. " createrepo -v . "

10. After making the repositry of packages . Change the directory in image.

11. Now make new file here write same command " vim dvd.repo" hit enter.

12. Now we are in dvd.repo file in vi editor .
To write io this file press "i"
Write these lines for making yum server .
In baseurl = if your server has static ip ( 192.168.0.1) replace ip with locahost. But if you are running localhost then localhost is okey.
Enabled = 1 ---> It will allow clients to fetch packages.
To save the file :- Press Esc(escape) then  press ":"(colon) then wq after hit enter.

13. After this ... you have done .Enjoy ....now you can install packages with yum.

Installation of Redhat (Linux)

We are going to install redhat .
Requirements :- 1 gb RAM , 15 gb Hard disk space .....

Follow the steps :-

1. Insert your cd or dvd you will get screen like this .

2. Choose insall or upgrade an existing system

2.Now click on the skip ...... don't click okey

3. Now click Next

4. Click your Language and click next
5. Choose keyboard layout
6. Choose storage ... but leave it as by default
7.you can choose hostname ... or can leave as it is .
8.Choose the location india from map
9. Choose some strong password for root
10.Click on the create custom layout
11.Make Standard patition with  (/) size vary on you want to give.
12.Make another partition (/boot) size vary on you want to give.
13.Now also make swap partition . Give it size the double of your RAM . it acts as virtual ram.
14.We will install linux in (/)root directory.
15.If you are doing dual booting it will give you another operating system details too.
16.Here you can choose what type you want . But normally we choose desktop (GUI). After click next it will install the packages . it will take 15-20 minutes depend on the speed of your computer . Till then wait.
17.After installing all the packages . You get congratulations message . Reboot it .
18.After reboot you have to perform some operations .
19. Here you will need to create standard user.
20.After performing all the steps ... Your Linux is ready to use . Login with you account and enjoy.

How to break the Linux password

Here we can break the password of linux . We can break linux password in single user mode . Every linux flavores has same way ..

Follow these steps to break the password :-

1. First All when you start Linux you will see the menu . Press Anykey to enter in the menu .


2.Now press e (edit) to edit the menu .
3. In the second line press e(edit) to edit the line .
4. In the Menu Go to Second  Line where kernel shows . Go to the last of second line write s .. s in the redhat and in other flavores id = 1 , init = /bin/bash
5. Now press b(boot) to boot the linux
6. Now you will get the root access . We will change the password .


You have done . Now reboot the Linux and enter with your password . Enjoy
